Our names are Lilly Boyle, Patrick Boyle, Grace Boyle and Gavin Covalle, rowers at the Chicago Rowing Foundation. We are very passionate about the sport of rowing, the opportunities it has provided us, and the strong relationships we have cultivated. Rowing is so much motre than a sport to both of us. For the time we have participated in it, we have learned so much about ourselves. Rowing requires discipline, commitment and most importantly, teamwork. Unfortunately, rowing isn’t accesible to many individuals. Rowing requires access to lots of equipment that can be very expensive. I believe that no matter who you are, rowing can change a person for the better. We want to make rowing available for marginalized groups and underprivileged communities because everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the daily challenges and joy that that rowing presents to us daily.
